Ginger's Easy 25 Minute Slipper Pattern

  Materials: 
RH One strand of Worsted Weight or 2 strands if using a very soft yarn. 

Crochet Hook: Size H or size needed for gauge. 
 

 

 

Pattern Stitches

Note: 2 dc tog - Holding last loop on hook, work 2 dc.  Yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Instructions

 
Ch 5, Join with a sl st to form ring.

 

Round 1:

Ch 2 ( counts as hdc) work 9 hdc, join with a sl st in top of ch 2.  (10 hdcs).

 

Round 2:

Ch 3, dc in same st.  * 2 dc in next st.  Continue from * around.  Join with a  sl st in top of ch 3.  (20 dcs).

 

At this time weave in the ends securely.

 

Round 3:

Ch 3, dc in each st around, ch 2.  Join with a sl st in top of ch 3.

 

Round 4:

Ch 3, dc in each st around, in ch 2 sp work  ( 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc).  Join with a sl st in top of ch 3.  (24 dc).

 

Round 5:

Ch 3, dc in each st around, until 2 sts before ch 2 sp.  Sk 2 sts, in ch 2 sp work ( 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc).  Sk last 2 sts.  Join with a sl st in top of ch 3.

 

Round 6 - 11:

Repeat Round 5.

 

Note: Following Rows are turned at the end of the row.

Row 12:

Ch 2, dc in each st across until 2 sts before ch 2 sp.  Ch 2, turn.  ( 20 dcs)

 

Rows 13 - 15 (or more, as needed for size)

Dc in each st across.  Ch 2, turn.  ( 20 dcs).

 

First decrease row:

Dc in next 7 sts.  Decrease 2 sts by working ( 2 dc together) twice.  Dc in next 8 sts.  Ch 2, turn.

 

Second decrease row:

Dc in next 6 sts.  Decrease 2 sts by working ( 2 dc together) twice.  Dc in next 7 sts.

 

Finishing Round.

Fold the ends of the previous Row together, wrong sides together, and slip  st in first  st.  With right side facing you, ch 1, and put 2 sc in the end of each row to the first dc.  Work 2 dc in next  st, 1 dc in next st, 4 dc in ch 2 sp, 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st.  Work 2 sc in end of each row across.  Join with a  sl st in first sc.

 

Sew the back heel seam securely.  Weave in the ends

 

Variation for Swollen Feet

Materials: One strand of Worsted Weight or 2 strands is using very soft yarn (One small skein will make one pair of slippers)

Crochet Hook: Size K

Instructions:

Ch 7, Join with a sl st to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as hdc) work 11 hdc in circle, join with sl st in top of ch 2. (12 hdcs.)

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st. *2 dc in next st. Continue from * around. Join with sl st in top of ch 3 (24 dcs)

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in each st around, ch 2. Join

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in each st around, in ch 2 sp work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc. Join  (28 dc)

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in each st around until 2 sts before ch 2 sp. Sk 2 sts, in ch 2 sp work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc. Sk last 2 sts. Join

Round 6-12: Repeat rnd 5


Note: following rows are turned at the end of the row.

Row 13: Ch 2, dc in each st across until 2 sts before ch 2 sp. Ch 2, turn

Rows 14-17 (or more, as needed for size): Dc in each st across. Ch 2 turn

First decrease row: Dc in next 9. Decrease 2 sts by working 2 dc together (twice). Dc in last 10 sts. Ch 2 turn

Second decrease row: Dc in next 8 sts. Decrease 2 sts by working 2 dc together (twice). Dc in last 9 sts.

Finishing round: Fold the ends together, wrong sides together, slip st in first st. With right side facing you, ch 1, sc around. Put 2 sc in sl st. Repeat one more time around.

Fasten off leaving a 12-inch tail for sewing. Sew the back heel seam securely. Weave in the ends.
